چکیده

Low-frequency torque oscillations (LTOs) characteristic components emerge in the stator current spectrum of induction machines (IMs) as additive frequencies near rotor asymmetry fault (RAF) indices especially gearbox-based electromechanical system. The interactions between these two make detection process complicated and lead to false alarm. In this paper, a new technique for separation RAF from LTOs IMs based on single phase data is proposed. method benefits novel pre-processing stage several sign functions. Hence, two-axis rotating reference frame with no prior knowledge rotational speed introduced. proposed maps static obtained through its associated Hilbert transform which can separate effects RAF, effectively. validity tested theoretical analysis, experiments both steady-state transient conditions. regard, Synchro-squeezing Wavelet Transforms (SWT) used time-frequency analysis faulty results confirm effectiveness approach frequency even line-fed applications.

Detection of power oscillation and simultaneous faults using Clark transform

Distance relays are widely used to protect transmission lines. Sometimes, in these lines due to the occurrence of the oscillation of the power, the impedance calculated in the distance relay enters into its functional zones and leads to the cutting off of the lines. This issue can cause global power outages. Accordingly, in this paper, a Clark-based method for detecting the oscillation of power...

Rotor Faults Detection in Induction Motor by Wavelet Analysis

ABSTRACT Motor current signature analysis has been successfully used for fault diagnosis in induction motors. However, this method does not always achieve good results when the speed or the load torque is not constant, because this cause variation on the motor slip and fast Fourier transform problems appear due to non-stationary signal. This paper experimentally describes the effects of rotor b...

Investigating Direct Torque Control of Six-Phase Induction Machines Under Open Phase Fault Conditions

This paper presents analysis and evaluation of classical direct torque control(DTC), for controlling a symmetrical six phase induction motor (SPIM) under open phasefault conditions. The machine has two three-phase windings spatially shifted by 60 electricaldegrees. The strategy of the proposed method consists of choosing the switching modesaccording to the configuration of living phases in such...

Separation Harmonics to Discern Broken Bar Fault from Load Torque Oscillation in Three Phase Induction Motor

This paper presents separation harmonics to discriminate rotor failure from low frequency load torque oscillations in three phase induction motors. The most common method for detecting broken rotor bar faults is to analyze the corresponding sidebands through motor current signature analysis (MCSA). If a motor is subjected to load fluctuation, then the oscillation related sidebands exhibit simil...
